AND SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
e-Service Journal
In general, authors should
follow APA (American Psychological Association) guidelines in formatting their
papers.
· Avoid footnotes and keep endnotes to a
minimum. Incorporate additional material with the main text wherever possible.

Citation
ordering and format should follow the guidelines below. References must be
complete, i.e., they must include, as appropriate, volume, number, month,
publisher, city and state, editors, last name and initials of all authors, page
numbers, and so on.
Examples
The journal has
standardized on the following word usage/spelling:
e-mail, lowercase ‘e’ with hyphen, capital
‘E’ and lower-case ‘m’ at start of sentence
e-service, e-business, e-government,
etc., lowercase ‘e’ with hyphen, capital ‘E’ at start of sentence
Internet, always capitalized
online, one word, no hyphen,
lowercase ‘o’ within sentence, capital ‘O’ at start of sentence
Web, always capitalized
Web site, two words, always
uppercase ‘W’
AUTHOR CHECKLIST FOR INITIAL
SUBMISSION
For initial submissions to the journal, please follow these instructions:
1.
Send your submission as
an e-mail message to the editorial offices at editor@e-sj.org.
2.
Include the following
information in your e-mail: (a) a statement as to the category in which you are
submitting the paper, i.e., Research, Practice, Outlook, Review, or Response; and
(b) a statement that the paper is original, previously unpublished, and
currently not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
3. Format the paper according to the guidelines above and the specifics for the first two pages per the type of paper – Research, Practice, Outlook, Review, or Response.
4.
Attach the submitted
paper as an MSWord document (or equivalent format).
AUTHOR CHECKLIST FOR SUBMISSION OF
FINAL COPY AFTER ACCEPTANCE OF PAPER
After an article is accepted for publication in the journal, please provide the following directly to the Editor-In-Chief:
1.
Send your accepted
article in an e-mail message directly to the Editor-In-Chief.
2. Attach an electronic copy of the final manuscript in MS Word format (or equivalent), formatted to follow the style guidelines above.
3. Format the paper according to the guidelines above and the specifics for the first two pages per the type of paper – Research, Practice, Outlook, Review, or Response.
4. Attach a separate .gif file for each chart that appears in the paper (so that the size and position can be altered by the compositor as needed).
5. Attach a separate .tif file for each image that appears in the paper that is relatively complex. (To ensure good resolution in the published version, complex images should be scanned at a minimum of 300 dpi grayscale.)
6. Attach a bio for each author of approximately 100 to 125 words.
7. Send via fax or snail mail, directly to the Editor-In-Chief, a signed copy of the Copyright Agreement from each author of the article. (Authors may send separately-signed agreements.)
Once the article is assigned to a particular issue for publication, page proofs are sent to the corresponding author. The author will be asked to review the proofs, mark any corrections (which at this point should be minor), and return the proofs within 72 hours of receipt.
The editorial office may do minor
editing on papers to ensure consistency in style and word usage.
