The journal encourages a dialog on the articles it publishes and the issues it examines. Readers are encouraged to submit well-articulated arguments, additional theoretical perspectives, thought-provoking critiques, and opposing viewpoints to stimulate critical thinking and informed discussion. Current or ongoing controversies may also be examined in light of the research that is published in the journal. Responses will be reviewed by the editors for their ability to promote a meaningful dialog and their ability to advance critical thinking.

In the interest of encouraging a true dialog, authors of the original articles about which responses are submitted will be invited to reply. After the peer-review process has been completed, the responses and the reply to responses will be published together.

Authors of responses and replies are urged to avoid personal attacks on authors or respondents and focus on the content of an article, the issues raised, or the ideas examined.

Responses (and replies to responses) should not exceed 10 typed, double-spaced pages including references and attachments. Pages should be numbered and follow the format below:

• Page 1: Title of the response and names of all authors including their complete addresses (institution, mailing address, phone and fax numbers, and e-mail address).

• Page 2: Title of the response and title of the original article.

• Page 3: Title of the response and beginning of main body of the response.
